Fireworks Display

The Grange held its Annual Fireworks Display on Tuesday 2 November. The Display is getting bigger and bigger year upon year! The display lasted around twenty minutes and all Residents, Family & Staff thoroughly enjoyed the show.
The Fireworks started as a fundraiser for charity and has turned in to an annual event, which draws in many family members from all the residents and staff. Everyone is welcome and advertisements are displayed in Goring to invite local neighbours to attend.
Tomato soup was served whilst the fireworks were going off followed by hot dogs and chilli.
Let’s hope 2011 will bring an even bigger & better display!
The Grange’s New Greenhouse

The Grange has recently purchased and constructed a specially designed Greenhouse accessible by wheelchairs. As well as the Polythene tunnel already in the grounds for growing of plants, the greenhouse will house plants ready for potting so residents can participate in activities that reflect their true lives at home.
The Greenhouse has been fitted with a specific low built bench, lower than the normal workbench height so it is easier for the less abled residents to participate.
We hope the greenhouse will hold hours of enjoyable activities come Spring 2011.

The Grange is hosting two open days in June 2010.
Goring Care Homes understands that choosing a Residential Home is a very difficult decision to make. We have organised these open days to enable you to to visit us and have an informal chat with the staff and residents, Also to have a look at the facilities we offer.
Please join us on:
- Wednesday 16th June – 10.30-12 pm
- Wednesday 16th June - 2.30 – 4 pm
- Saturday 26th June - 3-6pm
We will be serving refreshments on the day, and every person that attends will be entered in to a free prize draw.

Goring Care Homes Sweepstake

The Grange is holding a sweepstake for The Grand National on Saturday. With bets at £1 each horse, there are four prizes with the first prize being £25.
